Grooming Cats

Well.....anyone that thinks grooming cats is easy or a simple process doesn't really know about cat grooming.  I took my cat, Truck, up to Kristi's Grooming and she let me observe and ask questions because i was toying with the idea of adding mobile grooming to my job description.  I'm not so sure now!  However next Tuesday i am taking Kat to Kristi and observing once again.  Kristi is great!  She's been grooming for 22 years and is very good at it.  She's been doing my cats off and on for the past few years but Jason is the one who works his magic on my collies.  So here's Truck!!!

This is Truck with his full coat taken last week.

This is Truck getting the full treatment.  He was very good -- very vocal -- but very well behaved.

Truck struttin' his stuff.

When he relaxes some and is easier to catch, i'll try to get some better shots of him.  She left his "mane" so he doesn't look much different in the head, but his body is shaved down and he looks and feels wonderful!!

feline fiber art

Did any of you cat people know about Feline Fiber Art?  I had no idea.....until i met Henry on Facebook -- he is a feline fiber artist -- and i found some other amazing talents out there -- and then i realized.....i have talent right here in my own house!!!

i feel really bad that i got rid of Demon's masterpiece.....my couch.

and my big news for today......

we got the mustang running!!  i love this car:

hot august nights is underway in reno right now -- probably will be around 800,000 people come through town this week with thousands of classic cars.

Pet Sitting Weekend part II

And Bingo has a cat named Boyla, who is just gorgeous:

Actually, Boscoe had a kitty named Olive who was three-legged, as well as a parrot and a tortoise, but i didn't get to take any pictures except of the tortoise, and i think she was napping

Pet Sitting Weekend

Had a Doggy kind of weekend -- actually the past few weeks were pretty Doggy with Chloe here for 12 days, and then having Bingo for five days, and Boscoe for a couple of days, and ending with Sunny and Shadow.  What a wonderful collection of dogs.  Here are some pics of Sunny and Shadow -- i think they are the only ones that didn't get posted:

I love this picture.  It looks like Shadow is definitely smiling.

and this one "Sure keep smilin', bud. I bet i get MY treat before you get yours."

Now their mom said they have two cats.......I only ever saw Buster.

behind again

Well i did it again....got behind in my posting but i really was busy working :)  the first thing i want to post is a big THANK YOU again to Sparkle -- i received my copy of Housecat Confidential that i won in the drawing -- how cool is that !!!! I let my cats check it out :

Cheeto approves. Thought that was a couple of very pretty faces to wake up to.

Truck wants to know why he doesn't have a book with his picture -- or a card.

Zazoo is just a youngster but he was definitely interested in learning to read.

The book is awesome, the postcard is adorable -- and I appreciate winning!!!!  If i was smarter, i woulda won the bonus prize too but i sort of screwed that one up :(
