Flight School

Okay.....no more today after this one.  I took these pictures yesterday -- actually i took 59 pictures of these quail yesterday.  they started out on my patio and i didn't know it until the dogs went out -- they all scurried up to the roof of the doghouse and took off for the neighbor's roof.  I don't know what you call teenage quail....there is a whole mess of them and i'm sure they aren't one family but they were all going to the same place....starting from the roof, flying across the yard to the steps and going through the fence -- it must be like a quail campground back in the other yard.

Back to the dogs......

After all that guacamole.....we decided to walk the dogs along the river....

Off Topic for an Animal Blog.....

Well....maybe not.  We probably all ate like a bunch of animals. LOL.....so today, Arthritis Center of Reno had a luncheon at Arroyo's in the Freight House District by the Reno Aces Ballpark to welcome Dr. Wolf to the practice.  Unfortunately i didn't think about taking pictures inside of the people or the food, which was awesome.  These shots are overlooking the ballpark from the upper level of the Freight House.  Dr. Prupas was The Man -- picking up the tab and telling us to take the rest of the day off.  LOL again.

The Sky.....

Last one for today, i promise.....the sky was beautiful last night when we were at the dog park......

Dipstick

I am totally crazy about this cat......he was living outside with some ferals when i brought him home.  i found out later there was a lady taking care of him and his litter mates, but she was happy he had a home.  WHEW!  she was not getting him back!!

hummingbirds

While i was pet sitting Butterscotch & Precious.....I happened to look out the window and saw a hummingbird in their mom's primrose garden......of course my camera was in the car but i went out and got it and waited inside for the bird to come back.

dog park!

I gave up on the 365.  i hate being a quitter but i'm just not cut out for that kind of project.  i want to take fun pictures, not have to think about them or come up with something creative because that's how its done.....i'm not creative and not particularly talented but if i have a camera in my hand and the dogs do something cute......it all comes together.  so i took them to the dogpark last night -- a homeless man came in with his chihuahua mix -- they didn't stay long but the dogs got to play for a few minutes. i always love to see them running but was so intent on watching them i forgot to zoom.......so the pictures are fuzzy and far away even though i cropped out a lot of the dead space.
